Dear [recipient name],
I am writing you today to tell you about Saint Louis University Miracle Network Dance Marathon (SLUDM) and to ask you to help me surpass my fundraising goal of [insert fundraising goal.]
SLUDM is a year long fundraising effort to raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals of Greater Saint Louis, SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. This year, the funds raised from our event are going towards renovating the inpatient oncology unit. Raising this money helps CMN redo this unit so each room is state-of-the-art. Instead of having one bathroom for all the rooms on the floor to share, each patient will have his/her own private bathroom along with a sleeper sofa for parents that have countless nights in the hospital. Renovations will also include a giving the children a playroom and so much more.
In just the seven years that SLUDM has been in existence, it has been able to raise close to $900,000, all For The Kids (FTK). This year, the event takes place on November 18th, where I will be standing for 12 hours in honor of the kids who cannot. I invite you to make a donation to SLUDM in my name, in honor of all of the inspiring Miracle Children at CMN hospitals. [Optional I DM because…] With your help, we can impact the lives of so many children and their families. At the bottom of this letter, you will find the various ways that you can make a donation to our cause. I am continually inspired by the strength of the kids and their families and am so grateful for the opportunity our organization has to give back. A donation of any size touches the lives of so many. If you have any other questions, feel free to learn more about SLUDM at sludm.org. Thank you for helping us make miracles happen!
