The purpose of Saint Louis University Miracle Network Dance Marathon (SLUDM) is to create a Dance Marathon, a dynamic organization of Saint Louis University students, that will provide hope for the children of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital by generating funds and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Greater St. Louis and continuing to support these hospitals’ efforts to treat all of its patients, regardless of financial concerns. SLUDM’s pursuit of truth for the greater glory of God and for the service of humanity is inspired by the values and guided by the spiritual and intellectual ideals of the Jesuit tradition. SLUDM will fulfill the Jesuit Mission by helping fund health care advances while serving the community.

On November 19th, 2011, St. Louis University hosted its first ever Dance Marathon. The first ever SLU Dance Marathon was 12 hours long, raising over $30,000. This event will took place after months of planning, fundraising, and great community efforts. The event's proceeds went directly to the Children's Miracle Network for the Greater St. Louis Area. The children and families that SLUDM is directly working with are from St. Louis Children's Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
